After Being Rescued On The Street, Kitten Is Desperate To Win The Soul Of A Dog

After being found abandoned on the streets of a little Canadian town, a lovely cat is determined to never be alone again, and she does everything she can to win the love of her new canine companion.

A little homeless kitten was walking the streets alone in Gaultois, Newfoundland and Labrador, the previous summer. People who spotted her believed she had been abandoned because she was the only feline in the neighborhood.

The Good Samaritans heard the little girl’s cries for help and decided to act immediately to save her; they realized he needed assistance right now.

The kitten was defiant and brave from the start, and she clung to her rescuers in a couple of minutes because she didn’t want to be alone.

The report was sent on to the Exploits Valley SPCA, a Grand Falls-Windsor-based animal rescue organization, who took care of the kitten. Pocket was a kitten that was approximately 4 or 5 weeks old and was so little that she could fit in a pocket.

Pocket was a happy little girl who just wanted to be loved and carried about in a pocket or hoodie all day. Pocket’s days of roving the streets were over, and he now expected to be loved and treated in every way possible.

The original intention was for Pocket to have a mother figure who would love her unconditionally, but the adoptive mother refused. The animal shelter resorted to social media to offer her a permanent home and family after failing to find a surrogate mother.

The following is what the shelter posted on Facebook:

“She is a strong kitten that eats on her own, uses her litter box, and is completely devoted to humans. She is a warrior who will require someone who can devote a significant amount of time to her.

Keesha Hicks came across the lovely Pocket article at that time and fell in love with the cat right away.

The woman had a dog that needed a companion, and she knew right away when she came at the rescue facility that Pocket was the perfect partner for the position.

Pocket slid into Keesha’s arms without hesitation as he picked her up from the shelter, as if she knew she had found her family.

According to the woman, who spoke to Love Meow,

“She was a little cat with a ferocious demeanor. He was unconcerned about anything.

When Remi, the small kitten who had been given the name Remi, arrived at her new home, the first thing she did was approach the dog Lexi and demand her attention.

She tried to snuggle up to her side and caress her face, obviously trying to get her attention and acceptance in any way she can.

Lexi was perplexed by the new family member, but Remi was eager to quickly win her confidence. He didn’t want to leave Lexi’s side, so he followed her about the home like she was his shadow.

Remi was determined to win her friend’s heart after being abandoned and rejected by a foster mother. She would not tolerate a negative response.

Keesha explained:

“He attempted to hug Lexi, mistaking her for his mother, and sat next to her on the couch.”

Lexi quickly realized that Remi’s friendship wasn’t all unpleasant, and she eventually welcomed her into her pack.

From that day on, their lovely friendship grew, and Remi had finally gained the acceptance he had longed for since they rescued her. Remi fights back effectively despite his little height, and what he lacks in high standing he makes up for in personality.

Despite their odd connection, the lovely couple has proven to be inseparable slumber and adventure partners since since. Remi is the mastermind of all trouble, and they occasionally watch TV together or play in their parents’ bed.

Plus, the adorable kitten has picked up some canine skills and isn’t afraid to use them in her daily life.

Lexi now loves her kitty sister completely, thanks to Remi’s urging; he is usually near by, taking care of her and laughing at her antics.

Remi has matured, his eyes have changed color, and he now has long whiskers, tufts of fur in his ears, and a bushy tail to complement his beauty.
