The Bride’s Bouquet Is Eaten By A Wild Deer At A Wedding Shoot

Wedding crashers are almost never a good idea. An unwelcome guest, though, made the day even more special for one Michigan couple.

Morgan and Luke were married on the Felt Estate in Saugatuck, Michigan, when photographer Laurenda Marie Bennett whisked them away for “golden hour photos.”

Bennett told The Dodo, “We walked over this hill and made it to a field where we saw a deer just beyond a wooden fence.” “The deer looked up as soon as we arrived and calmly went over to the bride and groom.”

The pair were met by a friendly deer who promptly discovered the bride’s bouquet. The deer couldn’t stay away from the bouquet of flowers.

Bennett stated, “He started reaching over and pulling flowers from her bouquet and basically eating away.” “Then he takes a step over the fence and stands in front of them, just hanging out and eating her bouquet.”

Bennett began photographing the bride and groom once the first shock of the wildlife encounter had worn off. “We were all giggling and looking at each other, like, ‘What the hell is going on?’” says the narrator. ‘How should we proceed?’ Bennett remarked. “Morgan’s faces were priceless — they just kind of made the photos,” says the photographer.

As it turns out, this particular buck is something of a local celebrity. He even hit the news earlier this summer when he photobombed a few engagement photo shoots.

“I never imagined I’d run across him, especially when photographing a wedding,” says the photographer “Bennett remarked. ““I had the feeling it was meant to be.”

The bride eventually decided to give the hungry animal her bouquet because the deer would stop at nothing to get the flowers. For the bouquet toss, she had to borrow one of the bridesmaids’ arrangements, but it was worth it for the funny photobomb.
