A Sick Dog Who Went To Shop All Alone Seeks Treatment From A Veterinarian

The touching story of a sick dog who walks into a veterinarian clinic by himself, seeking medical assistance for an injured paw, has gone viral due to a video given by the location’s security camera.

The homeless dog had just recently attended a veterinary facility in the city of Juazeiro Norte, in the Brazilian state of Ceará. The dog was apparently searching for assistance, and his instincts led him to believe that they would be able to aid him here, so he went inside.

The moment the dog enters the veterinarian clinic on its own to be treated may be seen on the security camera video.

A woman sat in a chair, waiting for her cat to be cared for, as the personnel spoke at the counter while doing their jobs. Because it had a badly damaged leg, the dog walked as fast as he could to the main door, and it moved its paw as if pleading for assistance.

Dayse Silva, a local veterinarian, noticed it and quickly approached the animal to examine what was going on.

According to G1 Globo, Dayse stated:

«He’s from the streets, he doesn’t have an owner, and he arrived here by himself.» Just before he entered the clinic, I looked at the footage from the camera outside and observed him laying behind a tree. I went to investigate what was wrong with him when he exhibited his paw, and I saw that he had blood in his chest and a nail injury ».

According to the veterinarian, the animal may have entered the clinic because it smelled other dogs and felt protected. Despite the fact that the workers are used to seeing homeless canines walk by, they were taken aback by the tiny dog’s noble demeanor.

After healing his most superficial wounds, the center’s vets opted to conduct a comprehensive medical examination to establish his overall condition. Unfortunately, the results of the tests revealed that the dog had a transmissible venereal tumor, which needed immediate medical attention.

Fortunately, when veterinarian Dayse learned of the tragic news, she offered to take care of the homeless dog’s medical needs.

The puppy, who has yet to be named, must be hospitalized for at least 30 days to get chemotherapy treatment for the malignant growth. The dog will thereafter be eligible for adoption, depending on its progress.

Dayse is a member of an animal protection organization and frequently assists animals in need, but she does not disguise her joy in assisting the puppy.

The dog just had its first chemotherapy treatment and appeared to respond well to the drug, which is encouraging news for those keeping an eye on the youngster.

According to G1 Globo, Dayse stated:

“It’s rather good.” He was ecstatic, intelligent, and significantly different than when he first arrived. He is no longer bleeding and appears to be in no pain. We will assess each subsequent operation to find out if she responded well to the initial chemotherapy treatment.’

The animal will require four to seven chemotherapy sessions, according to the specialists, but this is important information that will be studied day by day.

For the time being, the dog spends the evenings at the vet’s house and returns to the clinic during the day for medical care. The Vet Vip Clinic, where the homeless dog is being tended for, has launched a virtual fundraising effort to help with medical costs.

The campaign objective of 4 thousand reais has already been met thanks to the viral narrative of the puppy and the generosity of the people.

The campaign, however, will continue since the remaining funds will be donated to other groups that offer care for animals in need.
