These Lovely Models Were Saved From Research Labs

Animals rescued from labs have been used as models for picture sessions based on Lewis Carroll’s classic “Alice in Wonderland.” Mice, rabbits, rats, and guinea pigs (also known as guinea pig, curi, and so on) are the stars of these sessions; without a doubt, they have had a difficult history, but thankfully, they are now committed to eating and posing for pictures.

The creatures were rescued by “La Collina dei Conigli ONLUS,” an Italian non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and rehabilitation of tiny animals. This concept was created to commemorate the association’s first ten years of existence. However, you may be wondering why the novel Alice in Wonderland was chosen. This is because “a white rabbit” appeared at the start of both the story and the association.

Some of these photographs were featured  calendar produced by the organization to collect donations for the hundreds of rescued animals. During the sessions, the guinea pigs were the most uncooperative models (all they wanted to do was eat), while the mice were the most cooperative. Rats and rabbits also made an impression because of their attractiveness.

Many of the animals seen below are still searching for permanent homes, so if you reside in Italy and are interested in making a lifelong adoption, please contact them at the website listed at the bottom.

Giuseppe Rossi, along with scores of other rats, was saved from a facility that had completed studying them. They would have all been euthanized if “La Collina dei Conigli” hadn’t saved them.

Nissa, the rabbit, was rescued from a place where she had been abused. Fortunately, she was already in a safe area when she gave birth to her son Matteo.

Indiana Jane, on the other hand, is so little that she dropped out of a truck load of rabbits on its way to the meat market. His mother and the rest of his family are thought to have been in the truck as well.

This little mouse was destined to become snake food.

Console Marcello is a New Zealand rabbit employed in scientific studies, as evidenced by a tattooed number on his ear. He’s still seeking for a permanent home where he’ll be given the affection he sorely needed throughout his years in the laboratory.

Nile is the name of the rabbit that had been abandoned and had his hind legs paralyzed when he was discovered. You can run and leap again with the right rehabilitation and care.

After being exploited in scientific testing, all of these rats were rescued.

Her Majesty Neda was adopted immediately after this photo shoot, and we are thrilled to share the news with you.

Guinea pigs are excellent models since all you have to do during picture shoots is feed, feed, feed them.

These nine young mouse sisters are always spinning in circles. Is there anything cuter than this?
