The Rescued Dog Is So Overjoyed That He Hurt His Tail By Moving It With Extreme Force

Benny is a ten-year-old dog who was horribly abused by his owner, but due to the help of a neighbor, he was saved in time, and now he can’t stop wagging his tail with joy, so much so that he injured himself by moving it too hard.

The neighbor, who had observed the abuse multiple times, decided to film various photographs of the owner’s cruelty. As a result, members of the RSPCA arrived to Benny’s home in Wirral, Liverpool, to save him from his harsh life.

When the animal protection organization’s inspectors arrived on the scene, they confirmed the mistreatment that had been inflicted on the lovely Benny.

Investigator Anthony Joynes, who led and planned Benny’s rescue, discovered that the dog was extremely scared and scarcely moved. Furthermore, the veterinarians discovered multiple wounds on his legs as well as sores caused by lying on the floor without any protection.

According to Anthony, as reported by the Liverpool Echo:

“Benny was rescued from a property in Wirral after a neighbor recorded a video of him being abused by his owner and reported it to the RSPCA.”

Anthony continued, saying:

“The guy used intimidation and abuse… Out of pure fright, the dog had been shivering and worrying in his kennel.”

Fortunately, representatives of the RSPCA worked with the police to save the poor little puppy from the brutality he was subjected to. Benny was then given the necessary treatments by the vets so that he could recuperate from his wounds and begin a new life.

When she recovered completely, the RSPCA decided to publish her tale on social media in the hopes of finding her a permanent home. It wasn’t long before Manchester residents Luis Estrada and Sophie Eleanor spotted the dog’s post and decided to adopt him.

Sophie stated:

“They (the RSPCA) had written, ‘I wanted a hand to grasp it,’ and that was enthralling… We went to see him and fell in love with him right away.”

Benny was equally overjoyed to see his new family, and he demonstrated his joy by wagging his tail frequently.

He was anxious when he first arrived at his new house and didn’t sure if he could trust them, but he quickly realized that everything was OK. Unfortunately, because to his vigorous tail motions, he sustained an injury that necessitated the amputation of his tail per medical advice.

Tail docking in animals is considered mutilation under UK law and is hence forbidden, however there are several exceptions. Among them is the extraction of the tail for medicinal reasons, which was conducted by a licensed veterinarian, allowing them to operate on Benny without difficulty.

Benny is a perfectly happy dog, despite having his tail clipped, and he seemed to be forgetting his nasty and terrible background.
