This Is A Big Hug From A Sea Otter To A Baby Shark
Friendship knows no bounds, since it occurs in both people and animals. It contributes to a better world. It’s not unusual to witness animals of various kinds getting along or falling in love with one another. Love is love, and love is love.
A marine otter was recently seen giving a small child a huge hug. Photographers Don Henderson and Alice Cahill were shooting marine life off the coast of California when they came upon that virtually unheard-of sight. The two buddies grabbed each other as they surfaced from beneath the water’s surface. For that reason, they seemed to go great distances. They hugged for a few seconds before the otter and the small shark parted ways.
According to the charity Sea Otter Savvy, “we are not sure which was the situation here, but these ‘jaw-dropping’ photos are the first known record of a ‘foraging-like’ contact between a sea otter and this species.” Harris told the San Luis Obispo Tribune, “That’s really impossible to determine what the otter was doing with it.” Michael Harris, a biologist with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, stated, “I really can’t tell with any certainty.”
What draws the otter and the tiny shark together, as well as their loving embrace, remains a mystery.
